All of the  stones were picked up on Dana Point Beach. Some of them
happened to be Snow Quartz.

Snow Quartz

Snow Quartz is what you call Clear Quartz with microscopic water bubbles, which gives the crystal a milky and cloudy appearance.  Also called Milky Quartz and Quartzite, Snow Quartz is a delicate form of Quartz and is found in Brazil, USA, and Mexico.  Snow Quartz has a gentler, more soothing vibrational quality than Clear Quartz.  Snow Quartz connects to feminine Ying energy and it helps balance Yang energy, as it aligns and balances all the chakras.  It helps facilitate alertness during tense moments and mental alertness during meditation.  Snow Quartz teaches patience, discretion and discernment within personal and professional relationships.  It is associated with the Crown Chakra and therefore it is a very powerful, spiritually pure stone.

Dana Point Stones

These stones were found on a wake on the beach in Dana Point.  It was the first date with an amazing man who only 4 months later became my husband.  It was also our first artistic collaboration.  Scott is an electrical engineer and he wondered what would happen if we added lights behind some of the semi-clear stones we were collecting.  After quite a learning curve we came up with our first finished product.   Completing The Eternal Light Within was a surprising and fun project that required patience. The ocean is symbolic of love, peace and eternity to me.  All those qualities are combined in this painting.
